Can my child eat the morning of the procedure?
For children under age 6 years, your child must not drink or eat after 2:00
a.m. They may have water up to 2 hours before the procedure.
For children over 6 years, your child must not drink or eat solid food 6
hours prior to the procedure.
What time do I have to be at the hospital?
Please arrive at 5:30 am at the Registration Desk unless you are instructed
otherwise.
Why do I have to be there so early?
The Registration desk serves the entire hospital on a first come, first
served basis. In order to give you plenty of time to get to the hospital
and have your child registered, we ask that you plan on arriving at 5:30 am.
What if my child has a cold or is sick?
If you have any concerns that your child may be sick, please call our office
and ask to speak with your child's cardiologist or the cardiologist on call.
Do NOT leave a message with the Scheduler as she does not check messages
after hours or on weekends.
Should I give my child their medicines on the day of the procedure?
No, it is not necessary unless your cardiologist has specifically instructed
you to do so.

If your child is having the procedure at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, go to:
